Today our sweet little Connor got tubes put in. We are very happy for him and excited that the surgery went just as planned! After 5 ear infections in 6 months..with the last one being about 4 weeks long in both ears and the fluid not draining, it was time. We spent almost 3 hours at the ENT about a week and half ago. He failed his hearing test pretty bed..mainly in his right ear, and from the ear drum test they could tell that there was still fluid. Because he has had breathing treatments in the last 6 months he first had to have a chest x-ray which came back clear therefor giving us the green light for surgery. We were there by 6:30 this morning and out by 8:15. He did surprisingly well coming off the anesthesia. They warned us quiet a few times that he would be screaming after, not from pain, but from coming off the anesthesia and being hungry of course (he hadn't eaten since 6pm the previous day). But of course our little ray of sunshine rolled into the room with just a few tears and was all smiles with in minutes, even clapping and waving! She said he had an extreme amount of fluid in both ears, more than expected, and that the pressure it was causing was probably very uncomfortable. He recovered so quickly we got to even leave the hospital a little earlier.

He has been good today so far, I can tell he can already hear a lot better by expressions on his face when there are loud noises. His ears are still a little sore and he is a little cranky, but overall happy and I can just tell so relieved to have the pressure gone. So the next few days it will only get better, and I am excited for my bundle to finally feel "normal". I am sure nights will get better too (he has been screaming randomly all throughout the night for sometime now :( )!

Now I am just so tired from being up since 530 and can't wait for bed time
