I know, I have been slacking....I just really haven't felt like blogging....
Well, First Zach...I think I wrote on some previous post how he had been sick forever and had a HIGH fever for 3 weeks...and my doctors weren't worried about it. So finally I took him to care now about 2 weeks ago..maybe 3 weeks ago by now? Anyway, I got a great doctor, that finally beleived me and didn't act like I was a stupid first time teen mother (I swear thats what most doctors think when they see me...I hate it) After I told him the symptoms he didn't second guess me...took chest x-rays and blood work...and after being there for abot 3 hours...we found out that he had a bacterial infection in his lungs...with a white blood cell count of 2300 and it is suppose to be 10000, he said he needed to be hospitilized, but I think he felt bad for us because he knew we didn't have insurance..so instead he got 2 shots in his legs and prescribed some med. for him, sent us home and told us to come back the next day for more blood work. And let me tell ya...the next day Zach was a WHOLE new baby, I guess he had been sick for so long I just didn't even realize how much he had changed, but he was so happy and just so completely different and better than he had been the last 3 weeks...it was so wonderful. So then we took him back in, his blood cell count was at 1400...but this time his platelets were up to 800,000, which is double what it is suppose to be, and it showed he is anemic, so the doc was a little worried...but told us just to come back 2 weeks later to have more blood test. So we just went yesterday and his platelets were back to normal but it still showed he was anemic. But bc he is not a pediatrician, he didn't want to give us any direction really, he just told us to go to our pediatrian...but that it is nothing to worry about quite yet. So now, thanks to this doctor I have my baby back (except for a HORRBILE yeast infection caused by the meds...its so sad, so now he has other meds with steriods in them to get that problem solved) I am really thankful for this doctor, I really think that if I hadn't got him, Zach would be in the hospital. And not only was he a great doctor, he couponed my last to visits...meaning I didn't have to pay for them (and let me tell ya the first visit was over $300) I just can't even describe my gratitude towards him. I wish my pediatrician was the same way....but oh wait she never takes anything I say seriously...and I am not a new mother frantic all the time about my baby type...my mom did not raise us that way, infact she raised us completely opposite.
Well, last weekend we went to Louisiana to see some friends and it was soo much fun! It was a great weekend get a away. We went to the Zoo and went flying on there plane, which of coarse was awesome. We just wish we could have stayed longer!
Now for Valentines day! We had a WONDERFUL Valentines day/weekend. Tyler had roses and chocolates sent to me, we went out for lunch, and then put Zach down at night, and just watched a movie (we never watch movies so it's a big deal for us haha). Then on saturday we had my in-laws watch Zach while we went Ice Skating!! We realized we had never been together so we thought it would be perfect, and it was! I was scared out of my mind becasue it had been years since I had done it, and the first 5-10 laps were pretty nerve wrecking...but then I finally got the hang of it, and even learned to do a little spin (with the wall right next to me so I could catch it before I fell : )). It was funny though...because there are like little 3 year old pros there and they seriously had to move out of my way...before I hit them...ha ha...good thing they knew what they were doing..or there would have been some serious accidents! Then minutes after we were done there has a HUGE thunder....had I been on the ice...it would have startled me and I would have fallen...so thank goodness we stopped when we did. Also, this is sad, a lady fell really hard...and all the sudden there was all this blood pouring out from underneath her...HEAD! She cracked her skull open, and I am talking a huge puddle of blood...and people were just holding her head until the ambulance got there. Poor girl...I wonder what ever happend...I hope she is ok...that is just so sad!
Well, I think that is about all the update. Zach of coarse has been sleeping for 20 minutes so his nap is over...ugh. But stay tuned bc pictures are too follow...from all the above events!!

WOW!! Talk about a rough last few weeks for you. I totally know what you mean about the teen mom and what your Dr might be thinking about you. I always go to the Dr for br when I even think he is getting an ear infection, and he always thinks I'm making it up, and then he looks and I'm right. Mom know best. Hang in there. He is such a brave boy!!
that is a great dr! Can I get his name?! I'm the only one with crap insurance and would love my dr. to give me a break every now and then...esp. during allergy season! I'm glad all is well with Zach.
Hey, you have to tell me about the yeast infection. Douglas keeps grabbing down there and I don't see a rash so I was curious how did you know it was a yeast infection? What does it look like for baby boys? email me please!!
