Zach's Latest (well in the last 6 months)

This is an on going blog from about 6 months till now that I kept..so some of them are no longer true...but things he used to do!

Zach just put on my shoes and is walking aroung the house saying "look, I'm becca!"


I heard the door open downstairs (someone forgot to lock it), so I ran down there quickly to find Zach outside by the car in the street. I said "ZACH, what are you doing??" he said very sternly "I'M GOING TO WORK!" as he tried to open the car door. haha

Tonight when I was putting Zach to sleep I told him to quit picking his nose and then he said "not nose, boogers!" and then I said I had to leave and go to bed bc I was tired and he said "no mama, your a big boy!"


When he prays he changes his voice to a really high pitch voice, and trys to close his eyes really tight while still peaking at me a little bit. He always says the same prayer "deaw heavenly father we tankful for dis day AWMEN!" That is how he blesses his food too.
(now he says full long prayers and concentrates realllly hard, you can't say bless this "food" you have to say whatever it is like bless the "noodles" and he always says "tank eww for jesus" he is a good little pray-er and if I forget to say it he quickly reminds me, guess I'm doing something right.)


His favorite books are Animal sounds, and the spooky old tree.


His favorite song is Jesus wants me for a sunbeam, and ironically BOOM BOOM BEAT


He is very good at saying thankyou and please with out being told to and recently started saying "welcome!" he especially says it in this kind of convo: Zach: Thanks Becca: welcome Zach: Welcome Becca!

When he eats something he really likes he says "nummmmmy dats daliscious!"

When we were at target he found some bracelets and put them on his head and said "look becca, i'm a princess"

My absolute favorite word of his is scared or scarey..he pronouces it searky or seared! it is SOO funny. and when something is scary he says ..."dats searky searky!" (now he can say scared right, kinda miss the searky)

When he is pooping (tmi?) he runs and hides and then annouces loudly "I'M HIDING!" (now he goes in the big boy toilet, yay!)

He LOVES Connor so much. He is always taking care of him. He always wants him to watch cartoons with him right next to him. When he is crying he rubs his head and says ever so gently and high pitchy "baby i'm wight heaw (here) iz ok bebe i'm wight heaw-i wuv you, heaw i kiss bebe connor" or sometimes you says " I know bebe, I know-don't kye, I kiss you beder bebe"

He really doesn't like it when Connor is fussing and we give him his passy. Zach runs over and says "no! not da passssy-i take care of him! you no need da passsy bebe connoaw, I kiss you, i heaw, i heaw now, I soowwry."

December 4th-I was putting Zach to bed and he decided to read the books to me this time. He read Old Spooky Tree (his favorite book) and for a second I was like holy cow how is he reading that-because he hadevery page memorized (and if you know this book it isn't like a super easy read) He would only miss a couple words on each page!

Then he read me the potty book we read each night. He pointed to the boy that was learning to potty and said "dat's not me becca, dats not me" then proceeded to read, " look i went potty in da toiwet, I big kid now." pauses and tells me "i'm not big kid becca" then continues to read. At the end he said "oh i need to use da toiwet!" so I took him to the toiwet he peed and pooped (which isn't big of a deal because he has been doing it on and off for over 3 months, just whenever he pleases) but then he said "woook! i'm da big kid now!!!"

He is VERY affectionate. He always randomly says "beccca I wanna hug you now" ang gives me a huge hug and then says "now I wanna kiss you" and then says " I wuuvv you soo much" in his little fake about to cry high pitch voice. hehe-so cute!

Everytime we get in the car he assumes we are going to grandma's house and starts singing his song he made up "going to grandma's house! we going to grandma's house! going to grandma's house! yay! we going to grandma's house!" occasionally he throws in a "going to grandpa's house!" the tune is soo funny!

He is so sweet at night when I am putting him to bed (sometimes). One night (and he does this on various occassions) he put both hands on my cheek, turned my head to face him-looked me straight in the eye and said " you soo booootiful"

And lastly-this morning 2/25...I said "Zach don't give Connor kisses today you have a stomach bug and we don't want to give it to Connor" Zach said " oh no, is it the cheetah in my tummy?" He kept saying a cheetah got him last night? who knows.
