Well, I finalllly did it!! I got lasic (Ty's gift to me for my birthday)!! We were fortunate enough to have a cousin that works for a Lasic doctor so we were able to get a fantastic discount that I couldn't give up. I was nervous of going blind for the rest of my life...but I didn't : ) They were having major trouble getting the suction to stay on my left eye and that was starting to hurt real bad...and then finally the lucky 5th time around it worked! I am not going to lie...needles don't scare me..blood doesn't bother me...surgery of pretty much any kind doesn't scare me...but getting lasic...I was a nervous wreck...it was really scary having to keep your eye completely still and seeing all these things come at it..and the pressure....oh the pressure...I realize that whenever ANY doctor says these 9 words "you are going to feel a little pressure now" hold on for dear life! Because it is NOT little pressure! EVER! It is like massive pressure. And when they were doing the suction...I think I was so nervous of moving...and also the pain was intensifying each time...I began holding my breath so by the 5th time I almost passed out...haha...I forgot to breath I think...they didn't know...I played it cool. Anyway, I am doing great now and so far I have 20/20 my friends! It is amazingly awesome! I love it soo much!! By far the best Birthday present ever! We had to go down to Austin for it, and then we went on down to San Antonio for the rest of the weekend and had a great time with Ty's cousins! It was a great birthday! Thanks Ty! Lets see...On my actual birthday me and Zach went shopping most of the day...the one day I don't feel TOOO bad for spending money. Then later that night we went to Olive Garden and it was delicious! Oh and I woke up to a MARVELOUS cake that Tyler stayed up past midnight making for me! So sweet! All in all...I couldn't have asked for a better birthday!
He also got me shock tarts...one of my favorite candies that are so hard to find!

Happy birthday! What an awesome present! John and I both want that surgery too, but it'll have to wait quite a while I'm sure. Glad to hear everything went well. Sounds like you had a great birthday!
I wanted to get Lasik so bad. Now that I read your blog I don't want to anymore. I was already scared to death. I'm the same as you, I can handle just about anything unless it has to do with my eyes. Maybe I'll be tough and do it anyways. Happy Birthday by the way. You're getting so old!!!
