So I went into Zach's closet to get some clothes and there were lovely little ants and fire ants crawling all over them. Then I looked around and there were at least 100's of ants in his closet. Thank goodness pest control was here that day. We left for the day because I didn't really like being around a trillion ants...then when we came home there were a trillion dead ants everywhere! So we proceeded to clean out the closet and vacuum them all up...Tyler decided to see where they were coming from and peeled back the carpet to find lovely little ant mounds everywhere....they were still alive! Horrible! Here are some pics.

UGH! That's awful. Poor baby Zack. Fire ants are so violent and itchy and invasive - I do not miss that aspect of Texas. I can't believe that the pest guy didn't think to pull up the carpet. Good thinking on Tyler's part. Hope that you get them all!!
