Christmas and the New Year!

We have had an awesome break!! We got a little less than a week off for Christmas so that was exciting. This year we spent Christmas at my house because that way we are on track with all the other sibilings. We had a great time, it was our families first time in 6 years to ALL be back together again, so of course it was a ton of fun! We finally met little Irey (as Kathryn calls him) who is soo incredibly cute, just as we expected!

Sadly enough this past Thursday we had to get on our way back to good 'ol Commerce! And I have to apologize to all of my friends that I did not get to see, or hang out with much, but living the married life and being with fam that you probably won't see again for a while, seems to consume time! So seriously a sincere apology!

This past Thursday and Friday I attended orientation for Cosmetology school. It was very interesting, the people that own it are rather old, the guy is 75 and is a chain smoker, so he can barely talk and of course he hates the world....because when old men get to that age...that sometimes happens--it appears. Anywho, I am very excited to start. I have school 8-3 Tuesday-Saturday for a year straight. We have one week off in July, Thanksgiving Day off, and two days for Christmas and that's it my friends. After 6 weeks I will start working on clients and I only have 4 hours a week of class room time, all the other hours we are on the floor either working on manicans of clients! It's pretty exciting, I hope I don't suck! The school is really strick, for every week I go over my year contract I have to pay $200, I can't ever miss, even if I am sick--unless I am dying, and if I miss a Saturday I am prohibited to go to school at all for the whole next week..which means I will have to pay $200! Anyway, anyone that lives around me I will be more than happy to practice on you if you let me! And if you don't, I am still going to!

Tyler and I had a great New Years Eve and New Years Day. Sadly we did have to work New years Eve but lucky enough we got a room at the hotel to stay in for the night so at least we weren't just at home bored, so that was fun but of course we were asleep by 12:15 that night! On New Years the whole fam came over for our traditional delicious dinner that Tyler and I prepared! I was so happy they all traveled out to see us and our apt. and we get to say our good-byes to Sam and Lacey and Riley. sniff sniff. We did miss you Sarah, Shane and Kathryn, its to bad you couldn't come.

Happy New Year to everyone!!

These are just a few pics we took over our break, and today when the family was over. (yes a digital camera was one of our Christmas gifts thanks to Tyler's lovely parents!)
